Sean Scotese has over 15 years of
experience in the restaurant industry in various cities throughout
the world. Since arriving in NYC seven years ago, he has been a part
of multiple restaurant openings with some of the best chefs and
restaurateurs in the city including Michael Symon, Anita Lo, Michael
Huynh and Drew Nieporent.
Mr. Scotese brings with him a refined
yet playful approach to the various cuisines that he engages with. He
has traveled extensively through Vietnam and China to study the
intricacies of East Asian food and culture in their place of origin.
This research has laid the groundwork for his personal development up
to this point.
Most recently he returned from a
4-month period in Beijing where he focused on the intensely flavored
and inventive food consumed by people in the streets. This naturally
served as the starting point for the current collaboration with
Dessert Truck Works, Street To Table; a communal, multi-course series
of dinner parties inspired by street food of China.
Sean has formed a
partnership with architect Mike Hill. They will be opening the first
restaurant in NYC early summer of this year.
